Pre-requisites for installing eScan Internet Security Suite (ISS) - Version 22

​

Before installing eScan, please ensure that your system meets the following prerequisites and system requirements.

 

Operating System:      Windows® 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista® / XP Service Pack 2 or higher / 2000 Professional.   [All 32-bit & 64-bit Editions(Note: eScan 14 SOHO products does not support Server Operating Systems)

 

Hardware Specs:         

Disk Space:        1.0 GB - (recommended)

CPU:                    1.0 GHz - (recommended)

Memory:             1.0 GB - (recommended)

Installation Process

​

Find below the steps for installing your eScan ISS product, by using the setup file downloaded from the Pegasus Communications Ltd website. The setup file for installing the eScan product, uses an interactive installation wizard.

​

STEP 1 – Click on the link shown below to download and run the eScan ISS executable file. The download will automatically begin.

Note:

If the following prompt appears, “Do you want allow this app to make changes to your device”, Select “Yes” to continue

​STEP 2 – After the software installation is completed, the License Information screen will pop-up.  Enter your 30-character license key and click "Apply".     (Alternately click “Trial” for a 30-day trial of the software)

STEP 3 – Activate eScan ISS component modules that are not active by default. Left click the red shield icon     in system tray to open eScan user interface.

Once all the eScan ISS component modules are active, the user interface will display as shown below with all module components turned on.

STEP 4 – Update eScan ISS and perform a system scan. Left click the red shield icon    in system tray to open eScan user interface.

  • Click “Update” on the eScan user interface, to initiate an update of the eScan signature and component files. Allow updates to be completed  before moving on to next step.

  • Click “Scan” on the eScan user interface, this will initiate a system scan and clean any malware on your system.
